Free training in decorative crafts, festive décor and gift articles gave women aged 18-35 a path toward self-employment.
UZAK Charitable Trust ran a Home Décor Products Skill Development Training at the BHS Learning Center, Hyderi Nagar, Mulbagal, for women aged 18 to 35 — more than 50 of whom completed the free programme.
Participants learned to design and craft wall hangings, festive decorations, table décor and gift articles, with training covering finishing, packaging and pricing alongside the craft itself.
The programme also introduced the basics of entrepreneurship — branding, online selling and social media promotion — so participants could turn the skill into a home-based or self-help-group business, not just a hobby.
