UZAK Charitable Trust (R) · Est. 2023
Every child deserves a classroom. Every family, care within reach. Every young person, a fair shot at their future. UZAK exists so that where you are born never decides how far you can go.
Our Story
In 2023, a simple question inspired UZAK: what if distance was never a barrier to opportunity?
UZAK — meaning “distant” — began with the belief that no community is too far to reach, and no life too remote to matter. From Mulbagal in Kolar District, we set out to bring education, healthcare, dignity and opportunity to the families most often left off the map.
We don’t arrive with a project and leave with a photograph. We listen first, build alongside communities, and measure ourselves by what remains standing years later — guided by compassion, transparency and a commitment to long-term change.

The realities we work to change
These aren’t stories of despair — they’re barriers that the right support, at the right moment, can lift. This is where UZAK works.

Opportunity changes everything.

Many children lack access to quality learning, resources and guidance.

Families travel miles for basic care. We bring prevention and treatment closer to where they live.

Talent exists everywhere, but opportunities do not. We help women rise.

Young people need the right skills to build a better future.

A sustainable planet is the foundation of strong communities.

Together, we can build a future where every individual has the chance to thrive.

Real stories
Change is easiest to believe when you can see one life it touched. Here are a few — drawn from our own programs.

Mulbagal, Kolar District
The challenge — Dreamed of teaching, but private coaching for the state teacher-eligibility exam was out of reach.
How UZAK helped — Joined UZAK’s free KARTET classes — 40 sessions with expert faculty and weekly mock tests.
The outcome — Cleared KARTET Paper 1 & 2 — one of 39 who did — and stepped onto a teaching career.
The free coaching and expert guidance changed everything. I walked in prepared, and I cleared it.

Govt. Model H.P. School, Taylur
The challenge — Struggled to afford basic school supplies, and worried their child was losing interest in class.
How UZAK helped — Received a UZAK school kit — a sturdy bag, notebooks, a geometry box and crayons.
The outcome — Their child returned to class with new enthusiasm and steadier attendance.
My child came home excited to go to school again. That is everything to us.

Brilliant Public School
The challenge — Bright but unsure — no clear picture of what came after school, or how to get there.
How UZAK helped — Took part in UZAK’s mentorship program alongside 600+ students.
The outcome — Left with a clear goal and the confidence to pursue it.
For the first time I could see the path from where I am to where I want to be.
