What We Do

Skill Development

Turning potential into livelihood.

Vocational training and job fairs equip youth and adults with practical, marketable skills that lead to steady work.

This work is part of UZAK’s holistic approach to community development in Kolar District and beyond — pairing immediate support with the skills and systems that make change last. In practice, that means Vocational skill workshops, job fairs & employer connects, technology & digital skills, and entrepreneurship training.

6 real events conducted in this focus area so far — see them below.

What we do here

  • Vocational skill workshops
  • Job fairs & employer connects
  • Technology & digital skills
  • Entrepreneurship training

A qualification only matters if it leads somewhere, so UZAK's skill-development work is built around the destination as much as the training itself — vocational workshops and digital skills sessions designed around what local and regional employers are actually hiring for, not a generic curriculum. Job fairs then close the loop, putting trained candidates directly in front of the companies looking to hire them.

Entrepreneurship training runs alongside this for those who'd rather build something of their own than join someone else's payroll — because in communities where formal job openings are limited, the ability to start and run a small business is often the more realistic, and more resilient, path to steady income.
