Rather than a single food drive, Har Ghar Poshan provides a structured Monthly Family Kit — rice, wheat flour, dal, cooking oil and everyday staples alongside hygiene essentials like soap, toothpaste and sanitary napkins — designed to sustain an average family for a full month. Families are identified and verified through a transparent Identify, Verify, Prepare, Distribute, Monitor process, with kits reaching them through community distribution camps or doorstep delivery where needed, so support continues consistently rather than as a one-time gesture.
The Challenge
For thousands of families, the next meal is never guaranteed.
For many families, the hardest part of each month isn't earning an income — it's making sure there's still food on the table by the end of it. Rising prices, unemployment, health emergencies and unstable livelihoods regularly force vulnerable households to compromise on basic nutrition, and it's often women and elderly family members who quietly go without so children can eat. Har Ghar Poshan is UZAK Charitable Trust's monthly food-security initiative, providing complete family kits with dignity rather than one-off emergency relief.
The most common reasons: Rising food prices and unemployment, irregular or unstable income, health emergencies and unexpected costs, natural disasters and disrupted livelihoods, and limited access to consistent nutrition support.
The Solution

Every Har Ghar Poshan kit follows the same careful process: community volunteers and local partners identify families in genuine need, verify their circumstances, and prepare a kit built around balanced nutrition — food grains, pulses, cooking essentials and hygiene products — before it's distributed through a community camp or doorstep delivery. Health workers and volunteers then follow up monthly, so a family isn't just supported once, but consistently, for as long as they need it.
₹2,000 feeds one family for a full month.
Sponsoring a family costs ₹2,000 and covers a complete Har Ghar Poshan Kit — rice, wheat flour, dal, cooking oil and everyday spices, alongside soap, toothpaste and sanitary napkins — delivered with verification, transport and follow-up included. If you'd rather give your time, the campaign welcomes NSS and NCC volunteers, healthcare and nutrition professionals, corporate CSR teams and community leaders to help identify families, pack kits and support distribution. Every family that stops worrying about its next meal is a family that can focus on education, work and health instead.
