About this campaign
Digital Detox India delivers a 3-hour interactive awareness session that replaces the conventional lecture with traditional games, team challenges, mindfulness activities and honest self-reflection. Students play games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Lagori alongside a screen-time quiz and guided discussion on healthy digital habits, before taking a personal Mobile Detox Pledge. Every participant receives a Mobile Detox Kit and takes on a 21-Day Mobile Detox Challenge to keep building healthier habits long after the session ends — delivered by psychologists, counsellors and sports professionals working with schools and colleges.

The Challenge
Hours of screen time are quietly reshaping how students think, sleep and connect.
Smartphones have transformed how students learn and connect, but excessive screen time has also become one of the fastest-growing behavioural challenges among children and young adults — linked to reduced concentration, poor academic performance, sleep disorders, anxiety, physical inactivity and weakened family relationships. Most students are unaware of just how much their daily habits are affecting their health, relationships and schoolwork. Digital Detox India is UZAK Charitable Trust's student digital-wellbeing movement, helping young people rebuild a healthy relationship with technology through experience rather than a lecture.
The most common reasons: Reduced concentration and shorter attention spans, sleep disturbances and reduced outdoor activity, increased anxiety and stress, social isolation and poor family communication, and gaming and social media dependency.
The Solution
Here's how we're changing that.

Learn, play, reflect, transform — not just another lecture.
Instead of a conventional awareness talk, students spend the session's first half understanding mobile addiction and digital wellbeing through an interactive screen-time quiz, then move straight into an hour of traditional games and team challenges — Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Lagori, tug of war and more — that rebuild the teamwork, movement and face-to-face connection screens tend to crowd out. The session closes with mindfulness and stretching exercises, a family-time discussion, and a Mobile Detox Pledge, followed by kit distribution and a group photo that sends students home with something to hold onto.

₹500 gives one student a full digital wellbeing experience.
Sponsoring a student costs ₹500 and covers the full Mobile Detox Kit — a digital wellbeing handbook, a 21-day detox challenge journal, a daily habit tracker, mindfulness activity cards and a parent awareness guide — plus the expert-led session itself. If you'd rather give your time, the campaign welcomes psychologists, counsellors, physical education teachers, sports coaches and wellness advocates to help run sessions in schools. Every student who reconnects with sport, creativity and real conversation is one step closer to a healthier relationship with technology.
“A generation of digitally responsible, mentally healthy, physically active and socially connected young people who use technology wisely while maintaining meaningful relationships, healthy lifestyles and balanced digital habits.”
