What We Do

Education

Learning for every child.

We develop school infrastructure, provide scholarships and school kits, and support adult literacy, digital learning and teacher training so first-generation learners can stay in school.

This work is part of UZAK’s holistic approach to community development in Kolar District and beyond — pairing immediate support with the skills and systems that make change last. In practice, that means Free school kits & scholarships, teacher training & mentorship, digital & adult literacy, and girls’ education & inclusive learning.

7 real events conducted in this focus area so far — see them below.

What we do here

  • Free school kits & scholarships
  • Teacher training & mentorship
  • Digital & adult literacy
  • Girls’ education & inclusive learning

Education sits at the centre of almost everything UZAK does — it's the one intervention that, done well, compounds into every other outcome a family cares about: better health decisions, steadier income, and a next generation with more options than the one before it. That's why it's the focus area with the most flagship programming behind it, delivered through Global Gyaan Academy: Har Bachcha School Mein finds and re-enrols out-of-school children, C10RAP supports Class 10 students through their board exams, GRIIP opens a path into government careers, and the International Best Teachers' Awards recognises the educators who make all of it possible.

In practice, that support looks less like a single donation and more like a relationship — a school kit at the start of the year, a teacher trained mid-year, a mentor checking in before an exam. Much of it is aimed specifically at first-generation learners and children from economically disadvantaged families, on the understanding that the gap in outcomes usually isn't a gap in ability; it's a gap in resources, guidance and consistent support.

Har Bachcha School Mein

One Hour Every Sunday | Every Child in School | No Child Left Behind.

Karnataka, Statewide · Rooted in Kolar District

Across our communities, thousands of children are still deprived of their fundamental right to education. Many have never enrolled in school, while others have dropped out due to poverty, migration, family circumstances, child labour, or lack of awareness. Har Bachcha School Mein is a community-driven education movement launched by UZAK Charitable Trust to identify out-of-school children, motivate families, facilitate admissions, and ensure that every child begins or resumes their educational journey — born in Kolar District and now carried out statewide across Karnataka, with the goal of eventually reaching every state.
